AN APPEAL - I am writing you on behalf of ADHAR – Association for Development of Human and Community Rebuilding. ADHAR is an organization that promotes practical solutions to provide child education, safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the rural community people and for school children. ADHAR has amission to reach the most vulnerable people living in disaster situations and to bring women to the forefront of active decision making regarding their own lives and that of their families.

Recently ADHAR has been requested to provide support to 22 poor and needy children belong to one small pocket of Balangir district , Orissa called Beniabandh village under block Saitala . These children are deprived of proper education, food and clothes and care and are struggling owing poor family condition. ADHAR is appealing to the supporters to support these children for meeting up their educational and basic minimum need. All the children are of B.P.L ( Below Poverty Line) category as per the annual family income and state's norm. Their parents and other family members work as agriculture labor and get jobs only in the monsoon period. Rest of the year they get hardly any job in the village or in the locality. To meet their livelihood their parent/s are forced to migrate to the other states for labour work. These children become separated from their parent/s for 6 to 8 months in a year either they stay with old grand parents or with their mothers. Some children are orphan and some do have single parent . Mothers work as domestic maid . For the orphan children and for the children who parents are not capable to take care of the children are dependent on the other member of the family and on the neighbours and are severely neglected. . ADHAR is appealing to the supporters to support these children and bring the smile in their face.
